I've searched the net for an answer and found a couple of old threads but no answers.
I was able to shoot 3 front points on a L shaped retaining wall. I now need to offset this survey chain a foot to one side. As others have said this was easy years ago in Geopak. Is there a proper way to do this in ORD?
I am seriously thinking of just appending my csv with 3 more calculated points linking everything together and going from there.

You are correct because GeoPAK created chain as graphic element based on its db file. But now, in ORD, the chain is coming from Field Book which is ruled and dynamic. If we convert the chain to civil geometry for "offset", it will be works.
I guess:
1. Create 2D DGN
2. Reference survey DGN (3D)
3. Use "Plan by 3D Element" to convert the chain in horizontal and vertical geometry
4. Then the chain will be converted to horizontal and vertical geometry.
5. Offset functions in both horizontal and vertical geometry will works.
