Which is the efficient way to show one point from plan view into profile view?

Hi everybody, 
 
 Could you please help to guide me the efficient way to show one point from plan view into profile view? 
 In plan, I have a point with EL: +25.4, and I want to show it into profile view for reference purpose. 
 I think I can draw a base line with vertical profile for it, and use "project intersection point". 
 Beyond that, which is the efficient way to handle my case?

Under the "Geometry" ribbon- use the Place Point command. Ensure you set a Feature Definition that has a robust feature that is easy to spot. Then, set your 2D View to a annotation scale that works well with the feature def you used for your point. Draw a Civil Geometry Line ( "Geometry" ribbon- Place Line command) in your 2D Model that intersects the points you want to see. Cut a profile on that line. Within the profile view, run a 3D cut on that profile. Within that Profile Window, Select the Reference command and set that 3D Cut reference to allow snapping. 
 That should get you what you need.
