Inroads .LIC file

I am a support person for Bently at our company.  I have a user that is attempting to use Microstation 2004 and InRoads 2004.  Our parent company has the license in their pool and his machine communicates to the Gateway fine across the needed ports.  Can someone tell me what to name the .LIC file so that it wil get the license from the Gateway?

  • Dean,

In addition, the name of the InRoads Group license should be bentleycivil.lic and the name of the MicroStation license should be msv8.lic.  The bentleycivil.lic should be located in the licensing folder of the InRoads Group installation (different locations depending on if you are running V8.5, V8.7, or V8.8) and the msv8.lic should be located in the Licensing folder of the MicroStation installation (by default, C:\Program Files\Bentley\Program\Licensing).  Make sure that SERVER is in all CAPS within the files (e.g. SERVER=ServerName).

    Thanks,
