Hi Everyone,
What's the easiest way on ORD to widen the road pavement to match existing road surface slope? I want to project the slope between ex road centreline and ex edge of pavement to the profile of the lip of kerb along the new (widened) edge of pavement. If possible, without creating templates and corridors.
Thanks.
Profile By Variable Slope from Element can be used with a Slope Style set to 'Extension'. This will require to existing geometry elements with active profiles to extend the slope to a 3rd existing horizontal geometry element and it will generate its profile to be at an extension of the slope from the first two.
Thanks Paul
I've also created a template with a Null Point adjacent to the new pavement that was constrained to a surface and then made the pavement slope match the slope from that point to the starting edge of the new pavement. You could add an overlay over the existing if needed and adjust the template so the resurfacing aligned with the new pavement.
