In MicroStation ORD after creating an alignment line the manipulator handles are not available to adjust. I've already confirmed that 'disable handles' on element selection is on. How do I enable them again?

I may run "-restoredefaults" if i found the OpenRoads (or MicroStation) with some weird situation. The command can reset the current UI settings.

With the element selected using the Element Selection tool, click the "disable handles" button again and it should reappear. If that doesn't do the trick, try adjusting the preferences for manipulators.

Could it be you've got the 3D selected instead of the 2D?
Use F10 to make current model top or turn off 3D model refernece in the 2D model
