I am attempting to show the mainline corridor on a sideroad profile so that I am tying into it correctly. My mainline corridor is referenced in. What exactly are the steps to show this on the sideroad profile? When I attempt to select the mainline corridor or any of the features within it I get a notice "Element is in a read-only reference" and it will not allow me to select it. I know that it is possible. After multiple attempts and frustration I just start clicking and sometimes it works but I have no idea what I did.

I use the Quick Profile From Surface with the Corridor as the surface object. This gives me vertical information as well as mainline cross slope and the opportunity to use that in a number of ways to start my profile and leverage design intent.

Is your corridor referenced in or actually in your drawing? This is what I want but I get the "Element is in a read-only reference" when I hover over it and it won't let me select the corridor.
Yes, my corridor is referenced in. A few things to try/check if it is not generating the surface. 1.) Sometimes the software doesn't seem to read in all the 3D data when first referencing files with Corridors or Civil Cells, simply reopening the file is sometimes sufficient. 2.) Confirm that the managed 3D model has been created. I don't believe simply opening a profile view will do that, you will need to set a terrain or profile active. 3.) If you are starting the command from the Ribbon, be sure that you are selecting what the software is asking for. (A lot of my students get tripped up by this.) "Locate Reference Element" is looking for the alignment you would like to profile the surface for while "Locate Reference Surface" is looking for the Corridor. I select the Corridor Handles for that as it is possible to select the Component meshes as well.
