I suspect after doing research I know what the answer will be but is there a way to do

RE: Report the crossfall, distance etc. between 2 linear elements

Hi Ken, yes i agree the snaps can be a little frustrating at times.
I find the nearest point snap as the most reliable for reporting with the analyze point tool.

Do you use the level display tool? I often have this open and floating on my screen to quickly turn layers off and on to simplify my display.
This helps the snaps be a bit more robust in my experience.

The way I use this tool is:

right click in the level display level list and turn all levels off

turn on the levels you are trying to snap to

perform the operation you want

when complete right click and turn all levels back on

With time this can become quite an efficient tool.

Hope this helps

RE: Report the crossfall, distance etc. between 2 linear elements

Use a station base report. There is a report format for station/elevation. You can do this for two elements, a single report for each. Save the reports to excel and do the math there.

Still though, Slope To Snap should show whenever you get a yellow cross snap, which it it doesn't.
