other than pipe size-specific linestyles, we don't have two or three lines in 2D for pipes yet, right?
I think that's correct. One option is to turn off display of the 2D pipes and turn on display of the referenced 3D model. You'll need good level segregation so you can turn on/off what you do/do not want to see for nodes and links.

yeah, I was asking for a friend who wasn't liking how that looked: "too dark".
(opportunity for Bentley to share some good news here, but maybe they're being koi)
I had posted concern about this issue many, many years ago. Can anyone visualize what a 3D arch pipe looks like on a 50 scale sheet; yeah, one big black bobbed line. Linestyles work, but one must assign these lifestyles after all pipe sizing is complete. A simple civil preference to show these interior walls would seem to be a good solution for a future release of ORD.

After all... we had this option in SS2 for YEARS!
Ditto. We had started working on VBA Code that would modify the 2D feature to read the drainage property and replace the default symbology with an appropriate linestyle. But I lost access to the programmer due to the contract expiring so that's currently dead in the water and I am not even sure where the code even exists.
Let me add a question: When a pipe is resized, do end sections or endwalls also update to the correct size needed to match the pipes?
