I created a custom coordinate system for a project and for some reason the .dty (C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE 10.10\Configuration\Organization-Civil\CDOT_Standards\Geographic\Custom Coordinate System Support Files) was overridden with a fresh copy and my custom coordinate systems are gone. I could have the file restored if needed, but since the .DGN retains the coordinate system, is there a way to add this coordinate system back in to my favorites? Also, i can recreate the custom GCS, but this has been happening a lot and I would like to know how to restore my library from customs GCSs i have created in the past without having to recreate them. Also, does anyone elses .DTY just get overridden every few months?
Your best option would be to create a seed file containing that GCS and use that file for any new files, however for existing files you can utilize the key-in geocoordinate select reference to copy the GCS from a reference. That should also work to get that GCS into that seed file.
