When creating alignments in ORD, we have noticed that the Feature Name keeps reverting to the "Name Seed" of the feature definition whenever there is a reset. This is different than the behavior in SS10, where it would keep the custom name entered until the user was complete or changed it. Our users are getting aggravated with having to re-enter their preferred name each time a different alignment element is creating. We did note that this attribute was called "Name Prefix" in SS10. Is there possibly a configuration variable or setting that can change this behavior to what it was in SS10?
There's not a way within that dialog for it to maintain the Name entered previously. It uses the Name Seed from the Feature Definition. The users could open the OpenRoads Standards dialog and in the properties of the Feature Definition change the Name Seed to what they want. Then it will hold that name as they place multiple geometries.
