I am using OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition 2021 Release 1.
I am trying to model a pond with a sloped bottom. I created a corridor around of the top of the pond and used a template with a constant slope and an end condition which extends to a bottom terrain. For my bottom terrain I created a sloped plane to mimic the desired bottom slope. After that I merged the terrains together to create a single pond terrain. While this method works it's difficult to be precise with the bottom of pond elevations.
Is anyone familiar with other methods for creating a pond with a sloped bottom? Thanks!
Create a 3D point at the desired elevation and location of the low point. Then use the command "Profile By Slope From Point" to define the elevations of the shape representing pond bottom.

The possibilities are endless! You can create horizontal geometry for the perimeter of the pond, apply a profile, and use that to create a pond bottom terrain. If you have a low flow channel, you can create a simple corridor model for it then set the elevations of the edges of the pond bottom using Profile By Slope From Element using the top of your low channel features as the reference (similar approach as Robert mentioned earlier). You can also use Linear Templates to model your pond slopes (up or down, depending on your design approach).

Thank you! This command is very helpful.
Thank you! I appreciate the different applications you explained. I will definitely try them out.
