"ghost" drainage area can't be remove

When I try to run my base analysis scenario, I get the following error message:

44008    "Base Analysis"    "Catchment"    "338"    "1"    (N/A)    "The catchment is active but there is no outflow element specified, or the element is invalid or deleted. "    Hydraulic Results

I can't find this catchment in the 2D/3D model and it does not exist in the explorer either. Is there a way to delete this "ghost" catchment?

  • In the version that you are using, there are two things that you can do:

    • Open a Catchments FlexTable, add the "Is Active?" property to the FlexTable, then uncheck the check box for catchment 338. Compute will then work, because only active elements are considered
    • Use Tools > Project > Synchronize Drawing. This will update the graphics according to the data in the Drainage and Utilities databases, which should force the catchment to be drawn, so you can select it and delete it

For the next release, we are extending the functionality in Tools > Project > Model Integrity Check so that it will list catchments that are in the Drainage database, but not the graphics, and you'll be able to delete them. Currently, this functionality will check nodes and conduits, but not catchments.
