Once I set up my screen layout (the way I would like it (toolbars, etc.) I copied and renamed the files shown below from my machine to my networked workspace in the Preference Seeds folder..
Is there a way to preserve the Civil Report Browser settings and store it in the same Preference Seeds folder in a similar manner?
Hi Josh,
They are saved in the FormatOptions.xml in the Civil subfolder. The only way we have been able to distribute this to users is via an Autorun macro unfortunately.
Maybe this variable may help? I havent tested it, but would be awesome if so:

Hi Mark,
Yes we have that setup in the Company folder in the ANZ dataset with:
CIVIL_PREFS_CIVIL = $(CIVIL_LAYERED_STANDARDS)Prefs/civil/
and the file located here:
MyCompany Design\Prefs\civil\FormatOptions.xml
Thanks for these ideas. To be clear, is this folder used to store these settings "live" as I change them, or are they used to copy settings as "seed files" for new users or if local prefs are deleted (much like the Preference Seeds folder)?
The folder is used to copy settings as seed files so if you have existing preferences (typically located here C:\Users\Your Windows Login Name\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenRoadsDesigner) then they would need to be deleted in order to pick up new settings if the folder defined by CIVIL_PREFS_CIVIL is updated.
Hmm...it only seems to copy some of the xml files in the seed folder over for some reason?
