Well, seeings as how the GeoPAK posts bring me to the openroad forum, I guess I will post here.
I'd like to assign a specific cell placement to a custom button. I've got the custom button, but I can't figure out what command to assign to it. It's a cell from within an old .cel file, so I need to tag it and then tag the cell name within the .cel file.
Suggestions?
Try the following Key-in after making the library the cell is in active. PLACE CELL ICON; AC=your cell name

That gets to the cell file, but my .cel file has multiple cells in it. Is there another code I should follow that with to point to the specific cell in the file?
AC=your cell name. That is the name of the particular cell in question (Active Cell=)

Jeff, By default it uses whatever active .cel file is loaded, then looks for the specific cell "name" in that file defined by AC=
Ok. Turns out I needed to use RC, not AC. That's for the .cel path. Then I used AC to pull the specific cell within the file.
If you use the MS_CELLLIST variable to list cell libraries to search through, you can skip the RC= key-in. But if the same cell name is used in more than one cell library in the list, the first one found is used.
