Convert dynamic labels to dumb text?

Question

Is anyone aware of a method in ORD to convert the dynamic labels to dumb text? When we attempt to drop a dynamic label, the label turns into dozens of pieces of linework elements. Thanks!

Make sure you toggle off Drop Text but not Application Elements. Dropping Text will turn it into primitive graphics, as you have seen.

I tested using the Place Label command with a Text Favorite. I selected it and dropped it. Then I selected the text and dropped it again. That made the text simple text that isn't connected to a Text Favorite. Try that! Hopefully that works for you.
