If it does, then there may be an issue with your elements being so far out. The V8i plane is infinite, but there are several random tools that don't work well very, very far away from 0,0. If distance is the issue, folks here may be able to help you find a workaround.

If that doesn't solve it, there's something else going on...
Did you clear out your Geopak RSC files? I believe they are saved in the C:\Program Files\Bentley\GEOPAK\bin\ directory. That might not be it either, but it could be. Bad RSC files cause unusual errors.

RE: Equal Space Points tool issue

Thanks for the info Caddcop. The file I'm working in was created from a seed file posted on TxDOT's website a few years ago. I'm assuming it's V8i based but am not sure how to verify. And yes, I only included commas for the coordinates in my reply to make them more legible but haven't actually input coordinates with commas in microstation. Thanks again

RE: Equal Space Points tool issue

In earlier version of MicroStation, the design plane/cube was finite. To get some coordinates datums to fit within the design/plane/cube many workspaces used shifted global origins. This is generally no longer necessary but legacy files are often used which keep using and preserving these settings. However, changing the global origin midstream is not a trivial task and can screw up existing graphics .

Can we assume you are not working in a V7 file format? And if you are entering coordinates, you should not use commas to indicate thousands and the software is not designed to recognize that format.

RE: Equal Space Points tool issue

Below in italicized text are my answers to your questions. Thanks again for your help

What are the coordinates of these points? The line I'm looking to place them along begins and ends at the following coordinates:

Begin 3,123,246.4767,10,084,647.1596

End 3,122,975.5466,10,084,141.0038

How far away from the center of the design plane are they? I'm admittedly a rookie when it comes to coordinate systems but believe the coordinates noted above are based off the global origin so I ran the "GO=?" key-in to determine it's location relative to the design plane center and received the following: The Global Origin is offset -2147483.6470, -2147483.6470 from the design plane center. Crunching some quick numbers, I believe the beginning of my line is 975,762.8297, 7,937,163.5126 from the center of the design plane

-2,147,483.6470+3,123,246.4767=975,762.8297

-2,147,483.6470+10,084,647.1596=7,937,163.5126

Are you using a GCS or local coordinate system? There's no GCS defined so I'm guessing the answer is a local coordinate system

How are your design file working units defined?

I can track down answers to all your questions, but one thing I should've mentioned previously is I'm attempting to place these points in the middle of other design geometry that was created without issue. I'm probably overlooking something but it seems illogical that these points could somehow be off the design plane but everything else that surrounds them is not.
