Hello,
Is there a way to turn off the feature where when you modify a vertices of a drainage catchment ( in the drainage and utilities workflow) it modifies all catchments with that shared line. It is a difficult feature to work with because a lot of the time I just want to modify and make smaller or bigger only one of the catchments and it modifies them all. Would be nice if it could be turned off completely.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric,
please keep in mind that questions in English should be posted in the dedicated forum:
OpenRoads/OpenSite Forum (English).
This will help not only us, but also you to get a proper answer. I am moving your post to the English language forum. :)

Was not aware that I posted to another languages forum but thanks for moving it!
Eric,
My guess is that you have used MicroStation snaps when placing your catchments, and the Civil functionality by default will persist those snaps as rules, so modifying one catchment vertex will update any others that are snapped to it. There's no specific functionality in Drainage and Utilities to join vertices of catchments together.
The Feature Definition Toggle Bar - which is available on the Geometry > General Tools ribbon of the OpenRoads Modeling workflow, has a toggle to control whether snaps are persisted or not, which you could try.
Thanks Jonathan,
So I think I did use snaps when placing the drainage areas. I would like to still snap to the other areas when placing areas but don't want the vertexes to be all jangled together to where I modify one and it modifies all. Is that possible or do you have to turn off snaps when doing catchments and just eyeball close enough?
I did not see the feature definition toggle bar but under that general tools but saw a Civil Toggles drop down that had options to "Break Rules". It didn't seem to disassociate snaps though so just having to delete and re-draw the intertwined catchments when they need modified.
