I'm cutting plan sheets for my firm. We have as Sheet Seed setup with a title block and the Drawing Boundary so it knows where to place the Named Boundaries during sheet creation.
Something I noticed is that when I make the sheets is that certain

RE: Justification of Named Boundary when making sheets

This might be slightly off topic, but our 50 scales sheet seeds allow you to select them and change the scale and the lengths and offsets adjust accordingly. I did see it seem to get out of synch once, but starting over reset everything and it all worked great.

But I agree that a center-horizontal justification for the sheet boundary would be a great option.

RE: Justification of Named Boundary when making sheets

Is there any way to change the named boundary origin, or the named boundary "seed"/definition origin?

Having to create a named boundary seed for every possible length permutation, and having to segregate sheet creation based on the length of sheet is just a whole lot of extra work. The entire sheet creation process seems so inflexible and invariable...And by the time we come up with all the workarounds and extra routines, is it worth it.

(I'm sure it is, but it's a lot of work, and there's no obvious way to adjust on the fly)

RE: Justification of Named Boundary when making sheets

Due to the Named Boundary tool using Saved Views that apparently only have a bottom left origin, it's hard to say if there's another option available. For areas like this that appear to need additional space, place boundaries into separate groups where the one between them would be in its own group (using a different length size seed). The idea is to add all the named boundaries first, then go back and create the sheet portions later once the areas make sense. Placing them all in one group for sheet creation would prevent their named boundaries from using their designated sheet model seed. EDIT: You only need a separate named boundary group for that alternate seed to prevent someone from running sheets by the wrong seed. As with most ORD data, be as descriptive in these breadcrumbs as possible for others to follow your intent by having the separate group(s) (e.g. Plan 20 Scale - 300 clip length; Plan 20 Scale - 500 clip length).

RE: Justification of Named Boundary when making sheets

I do know that.
