It sounds like you might be using the Create Terrain from Graphical Filter command within OpenRoads Designer? I haven't seen this message before, but the message states you have too many Features to enable Feature Linking. If you go to the Help document you can read about Feature Linking here: Create From Graphical Filter (bentley.com). It mentions that the limit is 15,000 elements for feature linking. I recommend creating the terrain with the Ignore Feature Linking checked on within the Create Terrain from Graphical Filter command. If you make changes to the elements, you can regenerate the terrain yourself.

Hi. MaryB.
Thanks for your message.I can't say, how large this surface is. I guess, this surface is large. I have used "creat terrain From element". And under "Element selektion" I have chosen "Chared Cell". It is because I have the dvg file with elevations. I have used that like reference file.
I am using "Update 9 OpenRoads Designer Connect"
Hi Holly Herring.
Thanks for the massege.
No. I have used "Create from elements". And under "Elements selection" I have used "Shared Cell" It is because , I have tha dvg file with elevations. And I have used this file like reference. I guess, there are probebly too many points. Is it posible to create terrain inanother way, mif I have the file with elevations????
When you create from elements, do you have the option there to "Ignore Feature Linking"? Can you try to create your terrain without the linking?
When you do select your elements, how many elements are selected? The status bar will tell you how many elements are in the selection set, and you should be able to tell the number from the Properties dialog as well. If you have more than the 15,000 you may be running into the limit mentioned by Holly. If you have less than 15,000 there could be some issue with the shared cells, or ORD is trying to process every element that makes up each shared cell?
