I came across a problem a while back and after revisiting it I'm wondering if I'm doing this wrong. I have a 3D mesh and a 2D element representing the traffic markings. I can get the element to stencil onto the mesh, the problem is no matter what offset or tolerance I input the element looks like it's going through the mesh rather than just sitting on top of it. I even rendered the view just to make sure this wasn't another issue, it really is going through the mesh. I figured a more simpler solution to the issue for now, which was after finishing the stencils into their own level, to select them all and use the move tool and move the markings by 0.03. Is anyone else having this problem?
This is an example file just to test out this problem and it persisted. I've attached screenshots below, before and after the stenciling as well as the current settings. I just found it odd that the offset or tolerance didn't change it.
