I am suddenly having difficulty with drainage profiles in drawing models. The Utility Properties are available when selecting drainage elements in the profile model window in the design model, but when moving to the drawing model created from the Named Boundary tool, and selecting the same drainage element, no Utility Properties are available, only the regular Properties. It feels like I'm missing something basic here, but I can't think of what it might be. I've seen this happen before, but switching to the design model and then back to the drawing model always "reset" the Utility Properties. But that is not working now. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
Unfortunately, Synch Drawing has no effect since the DU elements are in a reference file.
While in the file containing the DU elements, the problem with the Drawing model was solved by activating the reference which then allowed me to attach the Item Types to the DU elements in the profile. Alternatively, I could attach the Item Types in the profile model itself, but it seems to work better to do it after the drawing model for the profile has been created.
I've got everything working except for when the DU information is referenced to another file, including being projected to a roadway profile. I submitted an SR and was told that this has to do with the "single source of truth" issue not being resolved for 2021 R1 and that this was fixed in 2022 R1.
Robert (and Mark Plum via phone) - thanks for all the great info and advice.

Sounds like synch issues which are ever present seems like. Try Synchronize Graphics command. Tools tab of ribbon.

Hi Robert,Although I see the Item Type properties for drainage elements in the active file, when selecting drainage elements in a referenced file, the Item Type properties are missing. The Item Types are there, but the property values are blank. Any idea what could be causing this? I'm working in a design model, not a drawing model.
Also, when in a drawing model for a profile in that same file which contains the drainage (not a reference) the Item Types are not there at all. If I attempt to attached Item Types to the drainage in the profile drawing model, I get the message: "Element in reference that is not currently active."
Thank you Robert. This is very helpful.
