I am creating a proposed terrain model, working in a 3D model file. I want to drape some linework on to another terrain model so that they pick up its elevations, as the drape surface command worked in InRoads. These new lines cross existing features so unable to bring the existing in. I did try using Quick profile from surface but was unable to select the terrain model [set to active]. I am using ORD 2021 R1 Update 10 10.10.01.03 Thank you for reading and greatful for help.
Quick profile from surface should work so there must be other factors at play here.
thank you I will look further into it. Very new to ORD so could easily have corrupted my file
Hi Jaki, one thing to note about Quick Profile from Surface" is that you select the element to be profiled first, when prompted "Select Reference Element," and then it will prompt "Select Reference Surface" which is when you click on the terrain. Recently helped someone in my office who was having this issue, they were trying to click on the surface first and it was unable to be selected, so I hope this helps.
