I can rule geometry to graphics or features in corridors or other alignments. I can rule terrain models to corridors or graphics. I can rule almost anything to almost any other thing. Rules can cross files. I can deactivate, activate and delete rules. But what are the rules? As far as I can tell, with some limited exceptions, there is no way to list what rules control any feature. Am I missing something?
I agree it would be nice to have a "rules explorer" per item at least.
Sometimes it does require some forensic investigation. Rules can take many forms depending on how they were developed: snaps, civil accudraw inputs, tool settings inputs are a few I can think of off the top of my head. One approach is to review the civil element in question in the Explorer, which will provide a list of items under "Depends On". Sometimes those dependency trees can get pretty deep.
