I am working in MicroStation Power GEOPAK V8i. I have a terrain file, existing ground, corridors, etc. all working no problem. I am attempting to model in a detention pond for a storm sewer design. The current iteration for the "pond" will be a detention ditch along an existing ditch channel. I have modeled a fairly standard V-Ditch, with a 1' bottom, 2:1 slopes with the ditch being 3' in depth.
I have modeled ditch in the following method: Horizontal Line Between Points (for alignment) > Profile View > Profile Line Between Points > "Set Active Profile" > Offset ditch bottom 1' > Project Profile to Element (so each side of the 1' ditch bottom have the same profile) > Profile By Vertical Offset From Element (offsetting for ditch top) > Create Terrain Model From Elements.
I now have a successfully modeled ditch -->
THE PROBLEM:
When i try to "Analyze Pond" to determine the capacity, so i know whether or not i need to make it larger, etc. The command doesnt seem to work? I run the "Analyze Pond" command, select my Terrain Model and it shows the capacity line in Pink/Purple, which would be the top elevation of water, the next command it wants is "Locate Pond" i believe? If my cursor is within the pond it shows a small dialog box with all 0's. No volume, No Depth, No Elevation, No Area, and asks me to "Data Point To Save Pond" ... But when i do that, the Pink line disappears and it acts like it completed the command. And nothing is shown.
Been working on this most of the day, attempting different methods for modeling of the ditch. No successful results for "Analyze Pond" as of yet. One thing of note now though; I am unable to get the pink/purple line to show up at all anymore... When I run the "Analyze Pond" command it asks to "Locate Terrain Model", and once i select the ditch model a dialog box near my cursor says "Locate Pond, No Pond Found". No amount of selection or clicking on different lines works.
Any one have any ideas?
