Here am I just venting because I have nothing else to do with my life but stay late, not creating value for my clients or solving issues that matter but trying to get this disaster of software to work. The number one reason why I want to quit engineering is that I have to use this software. I hate it so bad, is so unstable and everything that it promises to accomplish falls way short off, I don't get it. so sick of working hours on end to achieve nothing and then having to eat those hours myself, time that I could have spent with family or doing something productive instead of dealing with this disaster.
Hi Isaac,
Could you please let us know which software and version do you use?
Have you reported via SR any of the issues you have experienced with the product you are using? are there any Defects\Bugs filed against them?
ORD 10.10.21.4
PW 10.0.3.298
I have reported some issues via SR but to no avail. I don't believe any of the defects\Bugs are files against the software
Could you please provide the Defects\bugs numbers so we can see their status?
I don't believe there are any defects or bugs, so therefore I cannot provide that for you
Pretty sure the entire platform is a defect/bug...Tell your boss that customers aren't beta testers
Have you actually been trained to use the software or just blindly trying to use it?
Just jumping in from legacy software and trying to design the way you did 30 years ago doesn't cut it in ORD.
Workflows need to change for your desired outcome. btw i come from an MX background and believe that offered a superior design-modeling processes and efficiencies, but we need to adapt for the new wave of BIM/Digital Engineering taking over global markets whether we like it or not.

Mark

Well I think anyone coming in cold will definitely not have a great time. If you have specific issues that is not covered by all the training material, the community is incredibly helpful and you'll probably get a response quicker than with a SR. Ask away - just remember to be very specific with what software is giving you the issue, the process you follow, and any error messages that appear.
