I tried to use the transition tool on a pavement design where I have it going from 0.5% to 1.5%. I have the corridor with both templates and a gap between them. I added a transition between and made sure the points were connected correctly and then deleted the slope constraints on the edge of pavement. The slider bar looks correct, but the model shows this transition being a few inches above where it should be.
I find the use case for the transition tool to be limited, and not very dynamic.Instead have you considered using a parametric constraint label on your lane slope? You can then vary this slope from 0.5% to 1.5% between your desired stations. This also means you can use one template instead of two.Alternatively you can do this with a superelevation section :)

Due to that ditch line constantly changing I have quite a few templates. However, parametric constraint worked perfect. The only thing was I had to go back and add the labels on my templates.
