So I've got this key-in I've used forever that is no longer working, and I can't figure out why. The key-in is "change level active;active symbology bylevel;change symbology bylevel".
This key-in allows me to set a level, click on an element, hit the F key this key-in is bound to, and that element will:
(1) change to the active level
(2) change the current symbology settings to that of the active level
(3) change the symbology of the element to match the bylevel settings of the active level.
But it is no longer working for color. Steps 1 & 2 still function. Style & weight still function in Step 3. Color does not.
Any ideas on what the key-in should be or why it's not working?
I'm using ORD CE 2021 Release 2 Update 10 version 10.10.21.04.
Thank you, Mark! Confirmed that this works.
Hi Tyler,
The keyin acts the same way for me. As far as I can tell, the change color functionality does not look to be included in the change symbology command in Microstation CE and any of the PowerPlatform products like ORD. I'm not sure if this is as designed or a bug, but an easy fix is to add an additional "change color element" will also change the element color to the active color.
change level active;active symbology bylevel;change symbology bylevel;change color element
Regards,
Mark

To be honest, I'm not sure when it stopped working. I use almost exclusively bylevel color anyway, so it could have existed for a while without me knowing. Does the keyin work for you? Or anyone else on this thread? I'm curious at this point if it's a keyin issue or a program issue.
Tyler
Hi Tyler, when did it stop working? In previous projects or just suddenly?
