Why do civil alignments sometimes go missing from the Project Explorer and how can they be restored?
I can see an alignment in the referenced models from within that same file.
yes and closed and reopened drawing
I'm in the process of exporting to XML and rebuilding the alignment. It is the only alignment in the file.
Additionally, I am not seeing some of the profiles that I recently added.
Have you tried closing the explorer and opening it again?
The XML has all of the profiles.
I am concerned about recreating the alignment being lost by superelevations, corridor references, point controls, etc after I recreate the alignment.
hmm not an easy one for sure. Export the superelevations into an excel file just in case. I wouldn't be worried for the point controls and the references since these are corridor objects as long as you use the reattach corridor tool to reattach your corridor to your imported alignment before deleting the "corrupted" one.
