Curious if anyone has recommended accusnap keyboard shortcut techniques. When accusnap is enabled, having to click on "near point", "perpendicular" etc. doesn't seem ideal. The multisnap is nice, but not quite what I'm hoping for. (In autocad, you can right-click and type "r" for nearest, "p" for perpendicular etc.).
I know theres a way to do this with the keyboard shortcuts, but I'd also like to keep the position mapping V8i shortcuts turned on! Maybe both of these things can't be on at the same time? Do folks still use the v8i shortcuts with position mapping, or do I just need to let them go? Appreciate it!
I don't use position mapping, so I would have never noticed any crossover conflict.
Glad you figured something out!

Ok, so I'm answering my own question - but MaryB told me it was possible ! (thanks MaryB)
I figured out that when position mapping is on, it takes precedence over any keyboard shortcuts. So if you want to use a keyboard shortcut, you need to change a letter out of one of the corresponding position mapping shortcuts.
Like MaryB, I set "T" to perpendicular and "R" for nearest
1) Under position mapping - , under "Tasks&Ribbon" pulled out "T and "R" and swapped for "A" and "S"
2) Deleted previous "T" and "R" keyboard shortcuts
3) Added in "T" with key-in "snap perpendicular" and "R" for "snap nearest" under the keyboard shortcuts
Since R wasn't previously in the tool settings, nothing to move out of precedence.
Note: now my hatch position mapping is set to "A" and Text is set to "S".
Thanks Mary!
I actually have changed up some of my Accudraw/keyboard shortcuts to include certain snap modes I use all the time, such as N for nearest, P for perpendicular, I for Intersection. You may have to use the keyin browser to get the actual command strings you would use for those shortcuts. It also means that the default commands for those letter combos need to be assigned to something else.
Plenty of people still use position mapping. That can be enabled in your Preferences.
