Hi, say if a top soil component is child to the end condition which is being rounded. Is there a way to have the top soil component to follow the rounded end condition completely? tied several different ways but no luck, I guess the number of points for the rounding is hardcoded in with a fix number of points that is causing the top soil component to fail? Thanks,
I have not found a way to force the attached topsoil closed component to follow the rounding of the parent End Conditions at the terrain tie-in points. You can try rounding options for components, or assume flat terrain and set up for a fixed rounding of the closed component by adding points on in. or add thickness to the meshes created with End Conditions (however consider thickness is measured vertically down into perpendicularly to the End Condition rounded mesh.)
I really wish that child to the rounded EC would follow rounding of parent

Wayne,
Have you tried to fully constrain the top 2 points of the Topsoil component to the End Condition by "Horizontal and Project to Design? (as opposed to H & V, for example). The way that the constrained components work is that if 2 consecutive points along an edge of a component are set to Project to Design (or Project to Surface) then the edge of the component "traces" that surface between those 2 points.
Just spit-balling here, I have no actual experience if this solution will work in this particular case.
Yes, the rounding points is hard coded to 4 points. I am not sure if this is requested in our new IDEAS portal, but it would be a great place to search and create an idea for Product Management/Development.

I have never played with creating an arc component for the end of a component, but you may can utilize an arc component. The arc component is created between 2 points defined in the template, so you would need to place a point where your 'rounding' would start and then create the arc component between that point and the point constrained to the target point of the end condition. It wouldn't act exactly like the rounding option, but would get you some points created along the component so the triangulated mesh and the component appear to have some arc to it.
