Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to turn a Complex Chain into an alignment with an active vertical profile. In other words, I want all of the yellow lines in the intersection drawing to have varying elevations associated with them. Currently, the Complex Chains only have X and Y values.Attached are screenshots pinpointing Complex Chain(s) in question as well as the .dgn file (imperial units) I am working with.

Any CAD linework can be an alignment with profile. You could profile the line as-is if you wanted to.
If you are asking how to assign civil rules to a complex element and add a feature definition, you would use the "Create Civil Rule Feature".
Hope this helps.
Marc
There are tools in ORD that will create a vertical profile for curb returns if the incoming and outgoing tangents have profiles. The whole process of laying out intersections should be revisited while taking into account the profile capabilities of ORD.

Hi Marc, Thank you for your quick response. I have tried a variety of steps (including above) and I am still unable to get the Complex Chain to be recognized as an alignment with a profile.
I attached the .dgn file to my original post.
Hi Charles, Thank you for the fast response. What tool would you recommend to turn the Complex Chain into a 3D geometry with a profile?
Have you assigned a feature definition to your complex chain?
