I would assume that by assigning an element template to a Civil Label, that template would control all the relevant features of the label. The leader to my labels is NOT using the assigned element template. My dimension styles are coming from the client, and they have dimension and extension lines toggled to linestyle 0 to override any ByLevel linestyle. Great...

But for that, I only have to create "untoggled" versions of a handful of dimension style. Far better than what I thought I'd have to do!!

RE: [ORD 2021 R2] Civil Label Leader not using template level?

Mary,

I submitted a Bentley Service Request last fall that sounds similar to this for 2021 R1 (10.10.01.03) and may point you in the right direction. In my case, if any of the Symbology toggles were toggled on in the Dimension Style the leader line placed by Civil Labeler would take on the active level instead of the level being defined by the Element Template. But if all the Dimension Style Symbology settings are toggled off then the Civil Labeler leader line will be place on the level defined by the Element Template.

A defect was filed, and even though I was also informed it had been addressed, it appears to still be the same behavior in 2021 R2. I have not tried with 2022 R1 but this version replaces the XML with a DGNLIB so not sure if that'll make a difference.
