System requirements suggesting only the minimum. What is your current system for medium to big sized projects?
In my case I am opening several reference files simultaniously and 64GB of ram helps very much. I prefer to create seperate files for terrain, geometry, corridors and sheets. Also high CPU clock also helps as Openroads does not use multiprocessing in most situations. Also a M2 ssd with high speeds is very helpful. I dont see much difference of different GPUs upto now. Thats my experience of ORD.
thanks, medium projects with many references, but sometimes quite large DTMs.
I think it's a bit of a difficult question to answer if you're trying to find the 'optimal' setup because different components of the software seem to have been designed differently and as such rely on different hardware components more than others. So hardware that is amazing for general navigation in the 3D space might not show any improvement in another tool.
Without going into too much detail:
Thank you very much for your answer, you have solved my unknowns
