Does anyone know if it is possible to put a gap in an alignment using InRoads? For example, I am wanting to create a single Right-of-Way alignment throughout my project but I want a gap at intersections with other roads. It would be much easier to just have one single alignment with gaps than to have 20 different alignments.
Thanks!

Michael,
Complex chain the right of way graphics leaving the gaps as you describe. Then select the complex chains for given side of the roadway Right of Way Left for example, and import the alignment from graphics. Be sure to use the all graphics in a single alignment option.
This is one way to create a discontinuous alignment.

Thomas,
Sorry for such a long delay between messages. Could you please explain how to create a complex chain. I am only familiar with create/edit alignment as the way to build chains/alignments.
Thank You,
The Create Complex Chain command is a MicroStation command. In the MicroStation Key-In field (Utilities> Key-In), enter Create Chain and hit Enter. Complex the graphics and follow the steps that Thomas provided (File> Import> Geometry> From Graphics).
