Text & Dimension Style Not Showing Green Tick, Why?

Hi All,

I have created dimension and text style in ORD in Common Text and Dimension Style.dgnlib file but it is not showing as green tick mark (activated). I have clicked on the style and executed Activate many times but nothing changed.

If I compare the same file of out of box workspace, it has green tick mark showing as activated. What is wrong in my case, any idea?

  • The green tick indicates the text styles are updated from pointed DGN libraries. If you open the "Common Text and Dimension Style.dgnlib" with Workspace and Workset (e.g. Training and Examples).

Then you will see the Green ticks.

By the way, i recommend you add/edit your own text styles in separate DGN libraries such as "My Common Text and Dimension Style.dgnlib". (make sure *Text Style" in the dgnlib file name. So that you can easy need  deploy/backup your own styles or standards.

  • Hi Jimmy

    Thanks for the comment.

However, my concern was bit different and I have managed to solve it.

I have used the same *.dgnlib file and created text styles and dimension style.

The solution for my case was the dgnlib file name as in ORD config has some strict convention as *Text Styles* and *Dimension Styles*. Once I have updated my dgnlib file name that contains *text styles* in *.dgnlib name, issue was sorted out.
