The recommendation is more in follow the "syntax" in standard cfg file (e.g. ../*Text Styles*.dgnlib). If you are experienced user, you can configure the workspace and workset in different ways/path or add/modify different MS variables to meet your own/organization requirements.

RE: Text & Dimension Style Not Showing Green Tick, Why?

Why would we follow the standard CFG? Most of us need to customize our configurations because our organizations store data and resources differently from the Bentley default directories. And our clients deliver resources named however they see fit, over which we have no control. If we NEED to follow the "standard" CFG, where is that requirement documented?

RE: Text & Dimension Style Not Showing Green Tick, Why?

Right, the CFG specific it. You can append "<" your own settings; but let's follow the standard cfg seems easier.

Once I have updated my dgnlib file name that contains *text styles* in *.dgnlib name, issue was sorted out.

Deepak Singh

RE: Text & Dimension Style Not Showing Green Tick, Why?

The green tick indicates the text styles are updated from pointed DGN libraries. If you open the "Common Text and Dimension Style.dgnlib" with Workspace and Workset (e.g. Training and Examples).

Then you will see the Green ticks.

By the way, i recommend you add/edit your own text styles in separate DGN libraries such as "My Common Text and Dimension Style.dgnlib". (make sure *Text Style" in the dgnlib file name.
