We are having an issue creating a terrain model from a field book selection set with ORD 2021R2. At first, I thought the issue related to the link below regarding right-clicking to select multiple field books. However, when attempting to right-click on the "Field Books" header to access the tool - the selected field books deselect and the tool fails. The error is below and reads: Selection set does not contain enough Field Book elements to build a surface.
This issue persists across new files and between users. Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or have any solutions? I know we can find other ways to create these terrain models from multiple field books but I'm certain I've used this functionality before..
If your survey settings (OpenRoads Standards) doesn't have the setting to create terrain from field books set to true, it will not automatically generate (as show in the AllFieldBooks "Survey Generated" terrain below. The second image shows what you're trying to do, but requires all elements from a view to be selected (not the field book folders). When doing this, either way will generate the same number of triangles, so essentially it's doing the same thing as it would with the Survey Settings set to "true". Hope this helps!

If you select all the view "all elements from a view" that you want to create a terrain model of "Create Terrain Model From Field Book Selection Set' it will not work because as soon as you right click on "Field Books" to use the tool you loose the selection set.

Hold the control key down then right click on the fieldbook. Sometimes it's a little finicky. and I have exported a sqlite file to a new drawing.
