Hi
I am using ORD 2022 R1. I cannot get cross slopes of subgrade to be annotated on cross-sections. Neither with all segments nor for created list of segments. It works as long as segments are on "top surface". If segments to be annotated are not on top, but on the bottom or at some intermediate level, no cross-slope is annotated.
And now, delivery, 800 cross-sections, urgent need to annotate cross-slope on bottom layer, and stuck. If the cross-slope is constant over along corridor, I would create a dummy annotation cell with fixed slope label, but slope of subgrade changes a lot.
Would appreciate any idea how to get cross-slope of bottom layers annotated on cross sections.

Hi Adam,
Are all the points on the bottom layer using a unique Level so theyt can be filtered? Perhaps a macro could be used to annotate them if they are easily filterable?
Unfortunately all non-Top Mesh points are invisible to the segment annotation currently. Hopefully fixed in the next release...

Mark

Hi Mark,
Yes, all points on the bottom layer have an unique Level an I can filter them. But how it could help me to annotate slopes between points on the bottom? Even when I am annotating all segments (not from the list) and filtering them by "on the bottom", nothing is annotated. If I chose to annotate all segments in a template with no filters, just all segments on top are annotated.

will try with civil labeler but it means I need to select every two points to annotate the slope between, every single cross-section. at least two segment on each of 800 cross-sections. they will finalize construction and I will still annotating crosslopes.
let me see if i have a macro that may help
Mark,
Did you manage to create macro that will use Civli Labeler on XS drawings, using Location Method: XS two points? Any tips? Now I have XS with three corridors merging, XS are cut along the main corridor, I need to annotate cross-slope of each traffic lanes, not only the mainline but also on the merging corridors. I thought that annotating slope between two points would do the job.
unfortunately ORD will not support annotating/computing slope or distance between two points that are not on a component segment.
Hi Adam, i havent been able to get something that works due to project commitments, but hoping to look at something in the next week.
ORD 2022 R2 is apparently being released very soon - is there any confirmation that the "on_top" / "on_bottom" filter has been resolved in it yet?

tested, in ORD 2022 R2 - segments for non-top mesh are not being annotated. really need to be able to annotate subgrade slope on cross-section :(
