I am trying to add superelevation to a section of roadway, but one lane in particular is going in the wrong direction.
It is a 4 lane highway with shoulders on both sides. Shoulder 1 and lanes 1 through 4 superelevate correctly, but the other shoulder goes the opposite direction (e.g. Shoulder 1 and lanes 1-4 are superelevated at -6%, the other shoulder comes in at +6%).
When I run a superelevation report everything looks correct, but when I assign the superelevation section to the corridor it shows up incorrectly.
I have tried detaching the sections and reference and reattaching, verified that the templates have superelevation flags checked, and checked point controls to confirm the pivot points are correct.
Any ideas?
This sounds like you have the pivot side set to the wrong side. If this is a left lane it should pivot about the right edge.
Building on what Marc said: go to your point controls and revise the references for the right lane/shoulder
