Hi, I wanted to ask about the management of cell library (.cel files).For example, I have created a new cell library and I want to add cells to this library that I have saved in older cell library. Is there an interface for exchanging cells between cell library?
Second question, if I have a drawing with cells in it, can I import them from the drawing to the library in use?
I'm not aware of a direct library management interface; however, Cell Libraries are essentially specialized DGN files that get read into the application in a specific way. You can actually open a Cell Library directly; all of the cells contained in the library are presented as separate models within the file. This being the case, you can easily import models from other DGN files such as other cell libraries for the purpose of consolidating as you mentioned above.
As for the second question, I think you're best served by adding those to the cell library in a standard fashion as a simple import of a model won't properly capture a cell's origin.
