Mathematical Expressions on ORD Civil Labels

How can I create civil labels that have mathematical expressions on them just like in Inroads SS2 Drafting tools.

For example, if a pick a close shape to label the area, I can add an equation to the label  to output the value in hectares instead of the value in the design file's master units (m).

Thanks.

You will need to create a text favorite for this issue which will be accessed via a Civil Label/ Civil Labeler function.

Literally, the label code would be Polygon.Scaled Area, which would be created via the Text Favorite Manager, Field Type: Civil Element Properties> Field Sub Type: Polygon> Scaled Area, or one the other methods as you seem fit to use.

The design files master units really have nothing to do with the Civil Formatting which OpenRoads uses. I would suggest that you got to the Backstage> File> Design File Settings and check the Civil Formatting options in that dialog. More than likely, your Drainage Results settings have been set to Area Format: m2 rather than ha. As well, there are "override" settings when creating the text favorite in many cases. In any case, quite a few methods of setting units.

You can also use Item Types, but I do not wish to confuse the issue ;-)
