SR 7001499116 Defect
There is a defect in ORD 2021 R2 and older where if you have a horizontal curve and have a change in elevation it will try to create a vertical curve between survey shots as well. See before pic. To solve this I have found you need to double code the shot as an end of non tangent and begin of non tangent for the same line code. See after pc.
You'll have to have the start curve and a point on curve shot before hand or after depending on the situation.
Since some of us are using DOT standards we might be on this version for a while. Hope this helps others in the field.
Lucas, I can see this curvature thing being true if the Survey Settings > LInking Codes > Linear Feature Force Curves to LineStrings is set to False, but if it's set to True it shouldn't be drawing any sort of vertical curve, just a line string. Do you know if that Survey Setting was set to True or False when this was happening? I haven't tested this, but just wondered.
It is set to false. I will try a test, setting it to true and see what I find. I was told from Bentley that this was a defect but I'll definitely test. Thanks for showing me this.
It appears that you are correct. True is what we want thanks for the help.
