I'm trying to export from style manager in SS2 to create templates in OpenRoads Designer, when I select the style and right click to export to an xml, no menu comes up.
Any thoughts??
I believe it is only available in Ss4/10. But there is a Civil Element Template tool that can read an XIN file. and write Element Templates. Additionally, there is an XIN Extractor that uses a spreadsheet that must be customized to align with you XIN file and your target paths for Features, Symbologies and Element Templates.
The right click only does Components and only when a specific set of settings is found. I believe that there are old threads in here that explain the particulars of those settings.
Actually, I found this: (+) InRoads Ss3 Export XIN to Element Templates - OpenRoads | OpenSite Forum - OpenRoads | OpenSite - Bentley Communities

Jason, it doesn't work in InRoads SS2. In InRoads SS4 (and maybe SS3) you have to go into the Style Manager and toggle on the filter Include Surface and then you can select the Styles in the bottom pane, <R> and the Export to XML will appear. But it only works on Styles that are set up for Surfaces. To get other Styles you need to go into those Styles and toggle 'on' Surface and then you can export those as well. .. but if the Style is set up for only Geometry or Survey it won't work on those Styles. ... Hence toggling on 'Surface' on those.
