Why can't I see openroads terrain triangles in navisworks? Most objects from corridors can be viewed in navisworks (although not perfect) but terrain objects only show the boundary.
Any tips?
thanks.
Hi Chris,
Thats because Terrain graphics are not standard CAD objects. You'll need to display the Triangles and either export to DWG or drop the Terrain to a Mesh to have it seen in Navisworks.

Thanks Mark!
How do I convert the triangles into mesh? I've tried a surface template with no thickness but was unsuccessful probably because of the large size of the terrain it is being applied to.
I've also tried exporting the triangles to dwg using the export to dwg but no triangles was exported, just the boundary. I probably did some setting wrong so i'll try this again.
Is there a command that would directly convert the triangles to a mesh? Or is it a workaround?
yep, just display the Triangles and use the Mesh from Element tool. Make sure "Keep Original" is set so it doesn't delete your terrain.
Awesome! It works now.
