In this particular case I am trying to add a raised median to a section that was made for a flush median. Instead of rebuilding the template I would like

RE: Adding a raised median to a single pavement section template?

What I would do:

1- make a surface of your top pavement

2- give your 2D median the profile from your top pavement

3- make a linear template of your median

4- do a 3D clip (important not a 2D clip) of my corridor the median

and thats it

RE: Adding a raised median to a single pavement section template?

Not direct way to split, however the following steps can be used to combine portions of the same template to allow space for the new median. Make two copies of the current template (leave one as backup), remove half from one side (may need to unmerge mid connected components before removing in order to retain the mid points), once that's done you can do similar for the opposite side in the other copy (if different on each side, otherwise just mirror into a fresh blank template). You can drag and drop template sides (LT/RT versions) onto the other. Drag from the bottom left preview display inside the ITL editing window (It will allow you to grab the point you'd like to copy to - e.g. CL point).
