A client requested a survey in ORD, now they would like it in SS10. What, if any, issues should we be aware of when converting by: 1) Open new SS10 file from the seed and reference in ORD into the SS10 file, 2) Merge the ORD into the SS10 the file.

Check that the resolution or units are compatible. Our legacy files are not easily interchanged with the settings of Open Roads. Some files come in 12 times to big and some text styles are also off by a similar factor. Export the terrain as LandXML.

You may not be able to reference or merge the ORD file into your SS10 file. I have had file corruption problems trying to reference/merge ORD data into V8i drawings. The ORD file is fine, but the V8i file ends up trashed.
You may want to see if you can export your actual survey data to some other format, and import/process it in whatever V8i software you plan to use.
The other option may be to use the Civil File Manager app or "Remove Civil Data" from a copy of your ORD drawing.

Thank you Mary. We intend to use the information in SS10. Since we have the CV files, we could always reimport them. Was hoping for a easy solution. Guess I'm still waiting on that "Easy" button in CAD.
