Hello,
I'm currently having issues with modeling some areas that I've measured with a GNSS Rover and exported to a .XML File and Imported into Open Roads Designer CONNECT Edition - 10.10.21.04. I model the areas by connecting my polylines and closing and turning into Islands (If Multiple Shapes or Boundaries if a Single Shape). But recently I've been experience the Triangles Modeling to what seems to be Ghost Points throughout the Model. Does anyone know a Fix for this issue? I have noticed that if I analyze the area that I've Made these points for some reason say External Elevation. I've attached the photos below of the issue. The End Game here is to not have the Triangles connecting to the "Ghost Point".
Hopefully this photo shows it better. I've placed Arrows to the Actual Points that are being Imported through a New Fieldbook as a .XML. I've Circled what look like the "Ghost Points" that my triangles are connecting to throughout the model.PDF
Not all XML files are created equal. Can you specify a few things?
1. What import tool/method/steps did you use to import your XML (e.g. Terrain import, FieldBook import, etc)?
2. Can you better identify and/or circle the ghosted points?
3.

I see point names that appear to be part of a FieldBook, but this kind of surface modeling doesn't sound like you're using Terrain editing tools or FieldBook edits.
My guess is you have a Survey Field Book Generated Terrain (see Explorer dialog and view OpenRoads Model tab, Terrains and also view the Survey tab for FieldBooks) that only has some elements (maybe only points) linked to the Field Book's Feature Details Terrain Attributes. Since there is no mention of FieldBooks in your post, you may want to review the following Survey Learning Path to gain a better understanding of what could be happening when importing data https://learn.bentley.com/app/Public/ViewLearningPathWithMasterCourseExpanded?lpId=113451
