I am currently working on a project in ProjectWise with a large plan set for the fist time when using the sheet index tool to manage sheet numbers, print, etc. My particular folder in the sheet index doesn't have a lot of sheets at this point (only ~50), but the total number of sheets for the entire sheet index is almost 1,000 and that number is going to grow very quickly. I am noticing that just trying to move (drag/drop) a single sheet in my subfolder is taking ~30 seconds to process. I am guessing that this is because it is recalculating the total number of sheets in the index, which if true is only going to get worse as the number of sheets grow. Has anyone worked on a project with a lot of sheets that has any tips for this? Is there a way to make it not recalculate the total number of sheets every time? If things don't get better soon I am likely to recommend abandoning the sheet index all together and post process the sheet numbers with Bluebeam. There are other sheet index related workflows that are becoming unbearable sluggish and/or not working all together. Any help would be much appreciated!
Yea, I am planning on opening a case. I was just hoping to get some unfiltered real-world experience to weigh in on it
In this instance, I think you might be better off logging a service request with Bentley (or "case" as they call them now) to get direct assistance from them.bentleysystems.service-now.com/csp
Just bumping this thread back up to the top. I have to imagine someone out there has some experience with large plan sets while working on PW?
