Mesh need to be closed, there is no magic, choose the less painfull way, close the mesh element, convert them to solids (if you can) or model in the application that you want to have results you expects

Or Autodesk should allow other thing than solids in their programs...

The moment you have more than one template drop, or any complex corridor modifications, you end up with meshes that are no longer closed.

Bentley really has to give us a solution for this because we need to be able to reliably export solids for BIM applications.

Whenever I export my meshes I, of course, get Polyface Meshes. When I try to make those a solid (using this Workflow) I always get the error: '' Solid Creation Failed, no watertight volume detected'' Which is weird because these are simple closed components.

Do you have a better method for converting in CAD?

Have you try converting the mesh in Autocad? You should export surfaces…
