I know I should work with the "Modify Line Style Attributes" menu in Microstation Connect. I was looking for a complete video or tutorial on this. What I want is to change the spacing of these traffic cones

RE: Modify Line Style Attributes

Thanks MaryB, its nice of you. Yeah I tried that and worked

RE: Modify Line Style Attributes

Depending on how accurately you need to see your cones...you could apply a Linestyle Scale, either before placement through the LineStyles dialog, or after through the Properties dialog. If your standard linestyle scale has a gap of 100', you could apply a linestyle scale of 0.75 to see your cones at 75'. Unfortunately, the cones would also appear to be 75% of the standard size.

Also, you could look at the "gap scale" in the Modify Line Style Attributes dialog. I don't know that I've ever gotten it to work the way I expect, but I don't need it often enough to dig into it. Modify linestyle gap scale may allow you to change that gap spacing without affecting the cone size.

RE: Modify Line Style Attributes

Hi Sina,

You can try to source the rsc which contain the linestyle of traffic cone, it may contain in your active workspace/workset standards folder. Then follow my steps to modify the pattern distance. Good luck.

Thanks so much for replying to my question. The thing is that I dont have a custom RSC file.

RE: Modify Line Style Attributes

Hi Sina,

You can try to run 'Line Style Editor' (input Line Style Editor in the search field on left top corner). Then load your custom RSC file in the editor. Select the Stroke pattern line from the compound components of your custom linestyle. You can click on the stroke pattern between the traffic cones to be placed, then adjust the Length, like 100 to 75. Lastly save the rsc file. You will able to achieve the linestyle with traffic cone distributed in defined distance. Thanks.
